ABOUT

I have enjoyed Williams Lake as my Hometown for 52 years. Our family has had four generations living in Williams Lake, making this community deeply rooted in who we are and where we belong. During that time, I served as a city councillor from 1993 to 2014 and was elected mayor in 2022. I believe that accomplishments are made possible because of relationships, and real progress happens when people work together rather than being divided. The future of Williams Lake is incredibly bright. If elected for a second term as mayor, I hope to see our city continue to strengthen relationships and lead by example in building respect, cooperation and shared success. It is with a heart full of gratitude, optimism and belief in the future of our city that I seek re-election.

  • Continue reducing City Debt while investing responsibly in essential infrastructure

  • Pursue Provincial and Federal funding to reduce the burden on local taxpayers

  • Maintain transparent financial reporting and strong municipal audits

RESPONSIBLE FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT

  • Support responsible housing development for families, seniors and workers

  • Encourage Investment, local business growth and Job creation

  • Implement the updated Official Community Plan to guide sustainable growth

HOUSING AND ECONOMIC GROWTH

RELATIONSHIPS AND RECONCILIATION

  • Strengthen relationships with First Nations throughout the Cariboo-Chilcotin

  • Continue strengthening the partnership we have successfully built over the past four years with governments, community organizations and regional agencies

 

  • Advance a realistic and financially responsible plan for an indoor multiplex

  • Work with School District 27 and community partners to advance the redevelopments of Marie Sharpe Elementary School

  • Continue investing in Roads, Water, Parks, Recreation, and other community infrastructure 

 

COMMUNITY FACILITIES AND INFRASTRUCTURE

  • 51 Unit Re-development of Jubilee Place

  • Work with Community partners on Homelessness, Addictions and Mental Health Support

  • Advocate for continued Health Care Improvements and Reliable Emergency Services

  • Push back against senior governments' downloading public-safety costs onto Williams Lake Taxpayers
